Richard Kivel

Richard Kivel is a serial entrepreneur who has built multiple companies in the fields of software, IT and life sciences. Additionally, Richard serves as Chairman of the global Board of Directors, of the MIT Enterprise Forum, he is a member of the MIT Alumni Association Board and is also a judge for the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. In 2009 Richard started his latest company called Rhapsody Biologics, a biotech company focused in the field of vaccine development, where he currently serves as Chairman and CEO. Prior to this, Richard served as CEO of TheraGenetics, a UK-based pharmacogenetic diagnostics company, which was successfully acquired in 2009. Richard also serves as a Board member and Advisor to many public and private companies in the biotech and high-tech space and often participates as a guest lecturer in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, the development of global entrepreneurial ecosystems, future trends in life sciences, personalized medicine and technology.
